Introduction to COSHH
(Control of Substances Hazardous to Health)
Aims
The course deals with the responsibilities of both employers and employees; explains the requirement of the COSHH Regulations to assess risks to health, decide what precautions are needed, ensure that control measures are used and maintained properly, and to provide information, instruction and training to all employees.
Who should Attend
This course is aimed at all employers where their work environment and processes exposes employees to substances hazardous to health. It is also suitable for employees who require information, instruction and training and is of particular use to those who are expected to conduct a Risk Assessment on their employer’s behalf
Course Content
The course gives candidates an introduction to COSHH in the workplace. It covers current legislation and takes candidates through the creation of COSHH Risk Assessments.
Course Benefits
After completing the course participants will be able to control exposure to hazardous substances to prevent ill health.
The participant will receive a Introduction to COSHH training certificate upon completion of the course.
