Who should attend
This is a national scheme in the form of a 1 day course which is designed for those involved in either operational or support activities within or around the Telecom industry (Installation / repair or support services)
Aims
The national scheme involves taking the candidate through basic Health and Safety awareness for works associated with the Telecoms industry.
It is designed to provide evidence that an individual has demonstrated an appropriate and approved level of site safety knowledge and awareness.
Course Method
Classroom orientated, using power point, hand outs and videos. Confirmation of learning is assessed by multiple choice questionnaires.
Benefits
Successful participants receive the EUSR SHEA (Telecommunications) card which is valid for 3 years and is affiliated with CSCS and is endorsed with the CSCS logo.
The Utility SHEA (Telecoms) scheme is affiliated with the Construction Skills Certification (CSCS) scheme to allow Telecom industry workers access to construction sites for purposes of utilities work without the need to acquire a separate CSCS card.
