EUSR SHEA ( Power )

Who should attend


This is a national scheme in the form of a 1 day course which is designed for those involved in the operational activities within or around the electricity transmission and distribution industries who require access to sites, both permanent and temporary.


Aims

It course is designed to provide on-site basic Health and Safety awareness for works associated with electricity transmission. It is a passport scheme and does not indicate any level of technical competence or skilled expertise. It is designed to provide onsite evidence that an individual has demonstrated an appropriate level of site safety knowledge and awareness.


Learning Objectives


By the end of this training event delegates will be able to:


Describe the basic 7 core modules that are common to all utility industries


Course Method


Classroom using power point, handouts and videos. Confirmation of learning is assessed by multiple choice questionnaires.


Benefits

Successful participants receive the EUSR SHEA (Power) card which is valid for 3 years and has a CSCS logo.


The Utility SHEA (Electricity) scheme is affiliated with the Construction Skills Certification (CSCS) scheme to allow electricity industry workers access to construction sites for purposes of utilities work without the need to acquire a separate CSCS card.
