HSG 47 Avoiding Underground Utility Services (Cat & Genny Cable Avoidance) including archaeological aspect searches using precision detector equipment

The course includes both theoretical and practical assessments in order to increase the knowledge required to safely detect and avoid coming into contact with buried utility services and safely locate archaeological aspects using precision detector equipment
The one day course can accommodate up to 6 delegates per day.
Course objectives

Introduce delegates to legislation and guidance relating to locating and avoidance of underground services
​
Legal aspects relating to searching and finding archaeological aspects
Interpret utility drawings and line search documents
Demonstrate safe use of cable location techniques in order to locate and avoid utility services
Identify the dangers and hazards associated with carrying out ground survey detection
Accept the limitations of underground utility detection equipment and drawings
