Who should attend

 

 

This accredited 1 day course is designed for employees who are required to take charge of an emergency situation should the need arise.  This is a highly interactive course and students would be required to carry out CPR activities continually for at least 2 minutes as part of the ongoing assessment 

 

 

Aims

 

 

To  cover a range of first aid principles and be able to administer emergency first Aid

 

 

 

Learning Objectives

 

 

All learners will gain the skills and knowledge to provide the organisation with Emergency First Aider’s that can provide treatment to their casualties in a prompt, safe and effective manner.

• Assessment of the situation

• Dealing with an unresponsive casualty

• Basic hygiene in First Aid

• Burns

• Epilepsy

• Resuscitation

• Anatomy

• Minor injuries

• Bleeding control

• Choking

• Shock
