Who should attend

 

 

This is a national scheme in the form of a 1 day course which is designed for those involved in the construction activities within or around large diameter cross country pipelines, who require access to sites, both permanent and temporary.

 

 

The course is relevant for operatives, supervisors and managers.

 

 

Aims

 

 

To provide candidates with appreciation of on-site safety and environmental awareness. It is a passport scheme and does not indicate any level of technical competence or skilled expertise.

 

 

Course Method

 

 

Classroom based with the use of power point, handouts and videos. Confirmation of learning is assessed by multiple choice questionnaires.

 

 

Benefits

 

 

Successful participants receive the EUSR SHEA (Cross Country Pipelines) card which is valid for 3 years and is endorsed with a CSCS logo.

 

The Utility SHEA (Cross Country Pipe lines) scheme is affiliated with the Construction Skills Certification (CSCS) scheme to allow Pipeline workers access to construction sites for purposes of utilities work without the need to acquire a separate CSCS card.
